Unframed Expressions in Oil and Steel

From portraits to landscapes, each piece reflects a journey of exploration — shaping stories through texture, light, and emotion.

About Me

Creativity has always been a part of my life — through fabric and thread, clay and glaze, a lens, a nib, a spoon. Making and shaping have always been second nature to me, a language I’ve spoken since childhood.

In 2020, I began painting with oils, sparked by a single photograph — a friend’s portrait of her daughter. That moment set something alight. One image became many, as portraits led to landscapes, seascapes, and glimpses of the wild.

I’ve never been content to stay within one frame. When a single style begins to feel confining, I wander — experimenting with lighter, more playful forms, or shifting entirely to a new medium. Steel has become a recent fascination, offering solidity, symbolism, and a kind of quiet permanence.

Sometimes I return to older creative loves — silversmithing, working with copper, or exploring the textures of textiles or clay— familiar places to rest my hands and rekindle that instinct to make. Whatever the medium, it always circles back to the same impulse: to create, to connect, to keep discovering and to enjoy new journeys exploring where the art might lead next.
